I've been having an old English Punk resurgence lately. I found some fun bits...

Steve Ignorant reports that CRASS are named as such because of the line from "Ziggy Stardust", "The Kids were just CRASS..." Pretty cool & weird Bowie connection. Yes. Also, in case you didn't know, CRASS were essentially a Sham 69 clone until forming their own identity. Steve Ignorant wanted to do some Small Faces covers. Steve has always been the most human member of the band to me, having done a Punch & Judy show & showing some wavering outside of the CRASS group identity & everything. He bought me a Rolling Rock in Boston long ago. Here's a good interview with him.
