Buttons buttons buttons

I'm coming up to Portland to sell my buttons. I've sold to the two Buffalo Exchanges but haven't figured out anyone else who buys buttons. Any ideas? The buttons are all rock & roll, pop/trash culture, weird, monster/horror, hot dames & generally sleazy & cheezy. Not to toot my own horn, but they are generally agreed to be the coolest buttons available. Thanks Portland!

BileZogBug & the Origin of the Goblins

From my newest blog... THE GOBLIN http://seangoblin.blogspot.com/ CHECK IT OUT! I DON'T REALLY USE LIVEJOURNAL ANYMORE. I HAVE LIKE A MILLION OTHER BLOGS.

Deep in the malodorous, cryptic guts of the earth, BileZogBug, a vulgar, bloated, demonic Goblin like entity is slurping from semi-digested piles of rotting human remains. These have been brought to him by the initiates of a unearthly Goblin "Maggot Fly" cult. The mystery of Goblin origin is revealed, as they are expunged as "witch's eggs" by this vile & magic monstrosity, phasing in & out of this plane. The eggs hatch & from them emerge corpulent, glistening & pale Goblin Maggots which, fed on scraps of rotting human meat & bilious earthen slime eventually develop into full-formed Goblins to be whisked away to the surface & away from any memories of their disgusting birth rites.
color version.

My, my, look how they've grown!

Lunatic Flier

One of the less popular street art forms is the lunatic flier. It might be my favorite kind of street art, but i'm not sure. Anyhow, someone who wanders through our neighborhood puts up fliers that say things like...
WARNING
WHO SEE'S YOU?
EUGENE, OR: GUILTY
HIGH-TREASON
1958-2019
BAAL WORSHIPPER
IDOLATRY
OPPONENT OF LAW
ANY REVELATION by GOD
AUTO's . Building's . Statue'
MURDERERS
Sacrificing Children to BAAL
YOU'RE IN A COMA!
VISION 2006 EZEKIEL 8

But this one was different because it had a website! http://www.venerableone.com/index.html
Oh boy! Not nearly enough content on there, but enough to make me do this post. Thanks wandering lunatic. I appreciate your effort.

An Age Of Extreme Conservatism - pt 1

A great post from John K.
"CONSERVATIVE" AND "LIBERAL" HAVE LOST THEIR MEANINGS
"I have never seen a deeper uglier form of extreme conservatism than what exists today. I don't mean conservatism as in "the conservative party". All parties are conservative today, in the literal meaning of the word "conservative"."
Read the rest! http://johnkstuff.blogspot.com/2009/01/age-of-extreme-conservatism-pt-1.html

You figure it out.

People discussing something...

"Just so that all of you know this, as to give another level of meaning to this narrative, the word "Jejune" is Latin (jejunus) for empty of food, hungry, meager.

Also, mentioned on the EPWA's website, in the section devoted to Public Space Reclaimation, is the fact that

"in impractical terms public space reclaimation is:

Reversal of Bolgia Two plus Bolgia Ten
Posting a poem about the famous polish necromancer Pan Twardowski"

-B2 + B10 = ?

Bolgia, or "pockets" are sections of the eighth circle of hell "Malbodge". (Evil pockets)

Bolgia two is the second one of these pockets, discribed in the divine comedy as ditches of stone. In Bolgia 2 "Flatterers are steeped in human excrement. This is because their flatteries on earth were nothing but 'a load of excrement' " (Canto XVIII)

Bolgia Ten is the last one of these pockets, the closest to the next circle. In bolgia Ten: "Here various sorts of falsifiers (alchemists, counterfeiters, perjurers, and impersonators), who are a disease on society, are themselves afflicted with different types of diseases" (Cantos XXIX and XXX)

So, now, I ask all of our little team here, what is Bolgia Two Reversed? Does it mean that those who do not flatter are not steeped in excrement? Or does it mean that those who insult excrete? And when added to ten does this mean that flattering falsifiers get a bad case of dysentery?

A Poem about Pan Twardowski:

To be completed."

FOR OAKLAND.

Any clap trap about fixing that broken city is bullshit. Anyone who offers up their solution is just trying to secure power for themself, including Communists trying to sell rioting as positive or whatever. I completely felt the desire to destroy Oakland while living there, i wasn't into the idea of wild-ass black kids doing it (too dangerous & discriminating against my WHITE ASS), i was more interested in equal opportunity destroyers like nuclear bombs or Godzilla.

<lj-embed id="144" />

Close the city and tell the people that somethings coming to call
Death and darkness are rushing forward to take a bite from the wall, oh
Youve nothing to say
Theyre breaking away
If you listen to fools...
The mob rules
Kill the spirit and youll be blinded, the end is always the same
Play with fire, you burn your fingers and lose your hold of the flame, oh
Its over, its done
The end is begun
If you listen to fools...
The mob rules
Youve nothing to say
Oh, theyre breaking away
If you listen to fools...
Break the circle and stop the movement, the wheel is thrown to the ground
Just remember it might start rolling and take you right back around
Youre all fools!
The mob rules!

If i were you, i'd get the fuck out!

As i've mentioned in other places, Goblinko is gearing up for another attempt at world conquest for 2009. We'll be using all of our extensive research that we've collected over the last 9 years or so, revamping old concepts & using by any means necessary. More after i put Otto to bed.

Kulongoski to pursue mileage tax by tracking cars. I call Bullshit on that.

Kulongoski to pursue mileage tax
By Hasso Hering
Albany Democrat-Herald
A year ago, the Oregon Department of Transportation announced it had demonstrated that a new way to pay for roads — via a mileage tax and satellite technology — could work.

Now Gov. Ted Kulongoski says he’d like the legislature to take the next step.

As part of a transportation-related bill he has filed for the 2009 legislative session, the governor says he plans to recommend “a path to transition away from the gas tax as the central funding source for transportation.”

What that means is explained on the governor’s website:

“As Oregonians drive less and demand more fuel-efficient vehicles, it is increasingly important that the state find a new way, other than the gas tax, to finance our transportation system.”

According to the policies he has outlined online, Kulongoski proposes to continue the work of the special task force that came up with and tested the idea of a mileage tax to replace the gas tax.

The governor wants the task force “to partner with auto manufacturers to refine technology that would enable Oregonians to pay for the transportation system based on how many miles they drive.”

The online outline adds: “The governor is committed to ensuring that rural Oregon is not adversely affected and that privacy concerns are addressed.”

When the task force’s study and test were in the news in 2006 and 2007, critics worried that the technology could be used to track where vehicles go, not just how far they travel, and that this information would somehow be stored by the government.

In more than one interview with the Democrat-Herald and others, James Whitty, the ODOT official in charge of the project, tried to assure the public that tracking people’s travels was not in the plans.

The task force’s final report came out in November 2007. It was based largely on a field test in which about 300 motorists in the Portland area and two service stations took part over

10 months, ending in March 2007.

A GPS-based system kept track of the in-state mileage driven by the volunteers. When they bought fuel, a device in their vehicles was read, and they paid 1.2 cents a mile and got a refund of the state gas tax of 24 cents a gallon.

The final report detailed the technical aspects of the program. It also stressed the issue of privacy.

“The concept requires no transmission of vehicle travel locations, either in real time or of travel history,” the report said. “Accordingly, no travel location points are stored within the vehicle or transmitted elsewhere. Thus there can be no ‘tracking’ of vehicle movements.”

Also, the report said, under the Oregon concept of the program, “ODOT would have no involvement in developing the on-vehicle devices, installing them in vehicles, maintaining them or having any other access to them except, perhaps, in situations involving tampering or similar fee evasion activities.”

Equipment for the Oregon test was developed at Oregon State University.

Whitty said last year it might take about $20 million to establish that the mileage tax is commercially viable. Eventually, GPS devices would have to start being built into cars, and fueling stations would have to be similarly equipped.

The gas tax would stay in force — Kulongoski has proposed that it be raised 2 cents — for vehicles not equipped to pay the mileage tax.

From the Albany Democrat Herald. http://www.dhonline.com/articles/2008/12/28/news/local/1aaa02_road.txt
Call Governor Kulongoski to let them know this is not okay. 503.378.4582

Say a prayer for S. Clay Wilson

S. Clay Wilson, pioneering grotesque underground comix artiste extraordinaire is in a coma with apparent brain
damage after being found unconscious lying in the street in the rain in San Francisco. His work is full of the dangerous element, pirates, demons & bikers.

S. Clay Wilson represents the good side of the 60s to me, which was not repressing your creative tendencies, upsetting the uptight squares & male chauvinism.

"Just because you depict evil, doesn't mean you are evil. People always get that confused. They expect me to be all the monsters I draw. I say, 'No, I'm a repressed Victorian. I shuffle around here and I drink my morning tea.' People show up in leathers and s**t, looking like my characters, I won't let them in my house."

"I get a lot of flak from feminists, but we all do, But within that group of feminists, there's all kinds of mentalities. Some don't understand what we're dong -- making fun of everything. Spain (Rodriguez) gets a lot of s**t about it, we all do. I like the idea of keeping the boat rocking."

Here's an interview with him.
http://sonic.net/~goblin/8wilson.html
& another one.
http://www.tcj.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=917&Itemid=48

Anyhow, just keep him in your thoughts.

Boogers N' Blood

Here's an example of the kind of stuff that's on the back of my new Monsters, Weirdos & Creeps cards. (they're still being cut & packed into their packs so they'll be mailed out by friday!) 27 different cards with a different Monster, Weirdo or Creep on the front & then a comic, some weird art, a profile of a cool dude (Ed Roth for example) or a culturally important item (pinball, coney island, hot dogs) on the back. 7 cards to a pack. Secret additional cards will appear in any Goblinko releases for the rest of the year.

My little brother Daniel (aka Danny James) formerly of the Cuts, now doing solo music came up with the boogers & blood concept when he was working on his master's thesis in advanced brattyness at age 9, after noticing that big juicy boogers have blood on the end of them frequently.

Real Reasons to dig Obama.

Every time a party-line democrat opens their mouth i want to elect Charlton Heston for dictator, but i voted for Obama because regardless of the delusional "think magic" type thinking, regardless of the fact the liberals are total fucking wankers, America needs optimism, it needs an affirmation of the American dream, it needs a Black President & it needs no more party-line republicans for a while, so the party can do some soul-searching & redefinition. Here are some things that helped to soothe my buyer's remorse with the Obama election.

• He collects Spider-Man and Conan the Barbarian comics
• He smokes
• He is left-handed – the sixth post-war president to be left-handed
• He owns a set of red boxing gloves autographed by Muhammad Ali
• He ate dog meat, snake meat, and roasted grasshopper while living in Indonesia
• He kept a pet ape called Tata while in Indonesia
• His favourite book is Moby-Dick by Herman Melville
• His favourite films are Casablanca and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
• He took Michelle to see the Spike Lee film Do The Right Thing on their first date
• He hates the youth trend for trousers which sag beneath the backside
• His favourite artist is Pablo Picasso
• His speciality as a cook is chilli
• He has said many of his friends in Indonesia were "street urchins"

Also from Oronzo, some research on Killer Whales reveals...
"In return for their help, the whalers allowed the Orcas to eat the tongue and lips of the whale before hauling it ashore."

I'm not sure if i posted this here... but we've got this famous Anarcho Primitivist philosopher here named John Zerzan, aka Kookala Mabolobongo.

His philosophy is one i profoundly disagree with, but at the same time, he presents a terrific bogey man & catalyst for my own pro-human, pro-civilization rantings. Funny thing is, i came up with nearly identical ideas as him when i was deep in Punk Rock depression & wanted to die. But, having cleaned up my brain & kicked into a much more positive & even optimistic mindset, i LOVE the human experiment, whale tongues, lips & killer whale informants all.

Penguin News: Giant Penguin Fossil Found in Tropics

Penguin News From Oronzo...
Giant Penguin Fossil Found in Tropics
Two newly discovered fossils have revealed the hidden past of penguins: they were much larger and possibly more dangerous than originally thought. This fossil, which was discovered in Peru and was given the scientific name, Icadyptes salasi, was 1.5 meters tall and weighed as much as a man. The 36 million-year-old tropical bird's intimidating appearance was topped off with powerful arms, a thick neck and a potentially dangerous 18-centimeter beak.
http://scienceblogs.com/grrlscientist/2007/06/giant_penguin_fossil_found_in.php

Bim Bam Obama

I dedicate this song to Barack Obama. Bim Bam Boom from Forbidden Zone
<lj-embed id="142" />
Make sure to add our newest blog "Musical Madness" with a musical number every day to your blog roll.
http://musicalmadness-goblinko.blogspot.com/
McCain's concession speech was fantastic, if you didn't catch it, check it out. Anyhow, my hope for this new presidential period is for America to invest in itself, stop throwing our money away, to become less repressed & terrorized, to become re-energized & unafraid of being American & the American dream & for me to make millions of dollars.

Monster Street Art

I've been taking a walk around the neighborhood every day for the last few weeks just to keep the blood pumping & such. I had kind of taken a break from doing street art for a bit, but all of this walking around doesn't seem proper without something to affix to the scenery. It's kind of crazy. So, i whipped up these suckers for Halloween & soon i was out of staples in my staple gun.

Obama

So i decided that i'm going to vote for Obama. The main reason i'm gonna do this has been the snafu involving Bill Ayers & also Reverend Wright. Even though the democrats go to great lengths to distance themselves from these kind of unpopular or controversial political figures & ideas, the reaction of the right to them really reminded me about who the mainstream republican base is, as opposed to the libertarian right & the radical right who i have more in common with. Both sides are essentially opposed to freedom of thought & freedom of speech, but this reaction to Ayers & Wright just really turned me off. Similarly, the Macho Response blog has pushed me towards Obama as it really exposes the limited thought process of the neo-cons. CULT BAD, HONOR GOOD. Blogging is not honorable.

I also can't for the life of me see John McCain & Palin even making sense in office for the next four years, it just doesn't make sense. The republicans have fucked up so badly that they shouldn't even be allowed to run a candidate. It has been a case of mutually assured destruction for sure, both parties have thrown the sack of kittens called America in the river, but Obama makes more sense & i think i can be more excitingly subversive with democrats in power. We'll see yeah?

Sarah Palin has also ruined all of my initial arctic bad-ass fantasies which came from the first couple days of short little radio profiles. She seems like a really obnoxious head secretary.

I'm teaching print making at the art center, we did rubber cuts yesterday. It was a ball.

Does anyone know what these figures are from? I have tons of them.
